South Park’s episode of October 28, 2026 showed new Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay, and KeenGamer reports that the closing credits say the footage is courtesy of Rockstar. Video Games Chronicle (VGC), Complex and KeenGamer all wrote it up on October 29. We have not watched the episode ourselves. None of the three quotes a statement from Rockstar, Comedy Central or Paramount, and we found none.
The episode is "Guinea Pig on a Stick", which KeenGamer lists as Season 29, Episode 4. VGC says the boys are trying to get local beef back into their schools, until the owner of a steakhouse tells them the beef is not the real problem and switches on a TV showing GTA 6 footage.
KeenGamer says the clip runs about 17 seconds. By its account, the clip starts with Jason and Lucia in a car in Vice City, then cuts to Jason on a crowded beach. According to KeenGamer and VGC, a dog relieves itself on the sand and its owner bags the mess. Jason throws something at the owner, who confronts him, and Jason then picks up the bag and hits the man in the head with it. VGC says the steakhouse owner praises the graphics and says players can pick up dog waste and use it as a weapon, which she says is "coming in November". KeenGamer adds that the clip shows environments, pedestrian animations and object interactions with NPCs.
The only official element is the credit line. KeenGamer quotes it as "Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc." Complex says the credits include a "special thanks" to Rockstar and reads that as confirmation that the footage is real. VGC is more careful and says the footage was "presumably provided" by Rockstar. We would put it the same way: a credit on a broadcast episode is a good sign the clip is genuine, but it is not an announcement, and Rockstar has said nothing about it.
Treat the details above as the outlets’ descriptions of a TV scene. The clip is a street-level moment, not a look at missions or story, and Rockstar has not said how the bag-throwing works in the finished game.
This is not the first time the show has mentioned the game this season. The September 16 premiere joked about the November launch, which we covered separately. Rockstar’s official date remains November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
