South Park’s Season 29 premiere aired on Comedy Central on September 16, 2026. TheWrap and Dork both report that it included a joke about the November launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. We found no comment from Rockstar or Take-Two.

In the scene, a town leader complains about the state of the country, then says: “But hopefully things will get better in November.” TheWrap quotes the next line as: “That’s when Grand Theft Auto VI comes out.”

The episode, “South American Biker Gangs”, follows the boys as they buy cheap e-bikes, which the town ends up banning. It also uses the show’s new “South America” name. TheWrap took the November line as the show putting its hopes in a video game rather than the US midterm elections, which are also held in November.

Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game was first due in fall 2025. Rockstar then moved it to May 26, 2026, and on November 6, 2025 to November 19, 2026.

New episodes air every other Wednesday through November 25, six days after launch. This story covers the premiere only.
