Privacy

This is a starting point written for a site that has not launched. Have it reviewed against the jurisdictions you actually operate in before publishing.

No accounts

There is no login, no registration and no user profile. We do not ask for or store personal information.

Analytics

Aggregate analytics may be enabled to understand which pages are useful — page views, search terms, and which results get opened. IP anonymisation is enabled where the provider supports it. Analytics are configured through environment variables and are entirely optional; with none configured, the site loads no third-party scripts at all.

Page view counts

To rank the most viewed pages, each page you open is counted once per browser session. Only the page’s address and a running total are stored, in daily counts that are deleted after nine days. No cookie is set, and nothing identifies you or your device.

Search queries

Searches that return no results are logged so we can see what is missing and write it. Only the query text and a timestamp are recorded — nothing that identifies who searched.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Your theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device. Third-party analytics, if enabled, may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Embedded video

Video embeds load only after you click play, and use the privacy-enhanced player. Until then, no request is made to the video host.
