Official video by Rockstar Games, 1 minute 30 seconds.Watch on YouTube
Rockstar released the GTA 6 Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026, five weeks before the game’s November 19 release. It runs about a minute and a half and debuts “Flower in a Hurricane”, a new song by Justice, the duo who composed the game’s original score.
What it revealed
- Debuts “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar says Justice composed the game’s original score and that the song will be on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
- Jason fills in his backstory in voiceover: he got in trouble in the army and didn’t leave on the best of terms.
- It includes an intimate scene between Jason and Lucia.
- Rockstar says it was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5.
- The official description ends: “Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19.”
Our take
Launch trailers are usually a highlights reel, and this one partly is: heists, chases, and Vice City lit up at night. What makes it worth watching is how much of it is about the two leads. Jason gets the voiceover this time, and his line about leaving the army on bad terms adds to the backstory on Rockstar’s character page.
It also shows how close Jason and Lucia are. Trailer 2 presented them as partners in crime. This one presents them as a couple, and it is unusually frank about it.
The music marks a change too. Trailers 1 and 2 were cut to licensed songs from Tom Petty and The Pointer Sisters. This one gets an original track from Justice, the duo scoring the game.
Where it fits
Rockstar calls it the Launch Trailer, not Trailer 3. It came seven weeks after An Extended Look, the 26-minute gameplay showcase. Watch that one to see how GTA 6 plays. This one shows the tone of the story in 90 seconds.
