When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. The date has moved twice before, but Rockstar and Take-Two have reaffirmed November 19 repeatedly since, most recently with the Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026.
As of 19 October 2026, Rockstar’s GTA VI site reads “Coming November 19, 2026”, and the date has not changed since it was set in November 2025. Take-Two restated it in every earnings report this year (February, May and August), and Rockstar’s Launch Trailer on October 15 ended its description with the same date.
If you pre-order digitally, you can pre-load from November 12, a week early. Physical copies are also available from November 12, but the box holds a download code rather than a disc.
How the date got here
December 4, 2023: Trailer 1 announced GTA VI for 2025. May 2024: Take-Two narrowed that to fall 2025. May 2, 2025: Rockstar moved it to May 26, 2026. November 6, 2025: Rockstar moved it again, to November 19, 2026, saying the extra months would let it finish the game with the level of polish players expect.
Could it move again?
Nothing suggests it. No delay has been announced since November 2025, pre-orders and pre-loading are live, and Take-Two’s next earnings report, due November 9, is ten days before launch. If anything changes, Rockstar’s site and Newswire will have it first, and this page will be updated the same day.
