Can you switch between Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?
Yes. Both Jason and Lucia are playable, and An Extended Look shows control moving between them, in one case within seconds. Rockstar has not published the full rules for when you can switch.
Rockstar’s 26-minute Extended Look, released in August 2026, shows both characters being played. In one sequence Kotaku describes Lucia parachuting off a building, then control jumping to Jason in a nearby apartment moments later. Dexerto’s breakdown describes switching between them during missions depending on what the moment needs.
How free switching is outside missions, and whether some missions lock you to one character, has not been detailed. GTA V let you switch between three protagonists almost freely. GTA VI’s pair appear together in most of the footage shown so far, so it may not work the same way.
