What is GTA 6 rated?
GTA 6 is rated M (Mature 17+) by the ESRB, for blood and gore, intense violence, mature humor, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content and use of drugs and alcohol. It also carries the In-Game Purchases notice. In Europe it is PEGI 18.
Rockstar’s GTA VI site shows the ESRB descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content and Use of Drugs and Alcohol, plus In-Game Purchases.
In Europe the PlayStation UK store shows a PEGI 18 rating, and in Germany the store shows USK 18. Neither is a surprise for the series.

Why does GTA 6 say “In-Game Purchases” if it is single-player?
The notice appears on the ESRB rating, and Sony’s store lists in-game purchases as optional. Rockstar has not explained what they cover; the Ultimate Edition upgrade is sold separately, which may be part of it.
