Speculative — not officially confirmed
Map-size figures circulate constantly and almost never come with a method attached. The ones that do generally scale trailer shots against known landmarks, or extrapolate from comparisons to GTA V.
Both approaches carry large error bars, which is why published estimates range widely. This item is filed as speculation because that is what it is.
