More stations still to be revealed

Rockstar calls GTA 6’s line-up “the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet”, with stations ranging from classic rock to talk radio. Only six stations have been detailed, and none of them is a classic rock or talk station, so more are still to be named. Rockstar has not said how many stations there are in total.

On-demand podcasts, a series first

For the first time in the series, GTA 6 has on-demand podcasts that Jason and Lucia can listen to beyond Leonida’s ordinary radio stations. Rockstar has not named any of the podcasts, their hosts or how many there will be.

Radio and podcasts on foot, through headphones

Radio and podcasts can be played both in vehicles and on foot. Rockstar says this works through newly added headphones and earbuds connected to Jason’s and Lucia’s smartphones. It has not explained the controls or whether every station is available this way.

Mud Dog Mike, Back Country Radio’s airboat reporter

Back Country Radio has its own roaming reporter and swamp weatherman, Mud Dog Mike, who Rockstar describes as Delta Dawne’s “not-so-secret lover” and who reports from the driver’s seat of his Grassrivers airboat. Rolling Stone and Kotaku report he is voiced by Jeremy Dufrene, Lana Del Rey’s husband, who Rolling Stone says is an airboat captain in real life. Rockstar has not named the voice actor.

Rolling Stone, Kotaku, Destructoid and The FADER report that the six stations are hosted by well-known artists: Bad Bunny and RaiNao (Cocoteo FM), Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey (Back Country Radio), Burna Boy and Palms Trax (AfroBank FM), Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya (The Chamber 106.6), Robyn and Alex Consani (Flash FM), and Trick Daddy and Trina (Dirty South Classics). Rockstar’s Newswire post and music page give only the on-air names, such as El Martillo and La Gata. In comments quoted by Rolling Stone and Kotaku, Del Rey called the role “super special and a privilege”.

Rockstar says the electronic duo Justice composed GTA 6’s original score, and it announced this alongside the Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026; Billboard and Variety describe the duo as French. Rockstar has also mentioned the game’s “dynamic score” in its album and radio posts, but has not explained how it works. Shacknews notes it is the first video game project for the duo, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay.

An official score album is planned

In its Launch Trailer post, Rockstar told fans to expect more news on the game’s music, “including the official score album”. It has not given a title, tracklist or release date, so it is not known whether the score album arrives with the game.

Billboard reports that the press release announcing Justice confirmed the duo produced the score music heard in August’s An Extended Look and in other big game announcements. Only Billboard reports this among the sources we checked; Rockstar’s own Launch Trailer post names Justice as score composers but does not mention An Extended Look. Separately, PC Gamer and GamesRadar+ both note a longer version of the GTA 6 theme plays in the video, which GamesRadar+ places at about 13:41.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is the game’s official soundtrack album, made with Atlantic Records and announced on September 17, 2026. It has 34 original tracks and comes out on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game, and it can already be pre-saved on the major streaming services. Nine singles are out so far, and Spotify’s pre-release listing shows the other 25 tracks only as numbered placeholders. Rockstar has not published the full tracklist or said whether the album’s songs also play on in-game stations.

The Album on vinyl and CD

The album is also coming on vinyl and CD. Rockstar says gtavi-thealbum.com has three exclusives (a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter vinyl and a CD jewel case), and Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and indie record shops have their own vinyl colourways with new art. The official store describes both exclusive vinyls as two transparent magenta discs, one set filled with blue liquid and the other with blue splatter, and it has since added a standard black double vinyl and a standard CD. On October 20, 2026 the US store listed the splatter and standard vinyls at $49.98 each and both CDs at $19.98, with the limited-edition vinyl at $124.98 and marked sold out; VGC reported UK prices of £44.99 for vinyl, £10.99 for CD and £108.99 for the limited edition when pre-orders opened.

Where the singles sit on The Album’s 34-track list

Spotify’s pre-release listing for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album already shows all 34 track slots, with the nine released singles in place and the rest hidden as numbered placeholders. Yung Lean’s “That’s It” is track 2, Travis Scott’s “RHYNO” track 4, “Sexy Magic” track 5, Justice’s “Flower in a Hurricane” track 6, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Thing You Need” track 8, Fuerza Regida’s “Suzuki” track 10, Rauw Alejandro’s “Macacoa 2000” track 11, Cardi B’s “Don’t Chart” track 19 and Keith Richards’ “Bright Lights, Big City” track 32. Track 1 and the other 24 songs had not been revealed as of October 20, 2026.

“Last Thing You Need” debuts at No. 9 on the Hot 100

Billboard, which compiles the Hot 100, reports that Morgan Wallen’s “Last Thing You Need” from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album debuted at No. 9 on the Hot 100 in its chart report of September 28, 2026, after 14.4 million streams in its first full tracking week. Billboard says it is Wallen’s 21st career top 10. Only Billboard reports these figures among the sources we checked.
