In Trailer 1, live Weazel News footage shows the aftermath of a police chase (PC Gamer), its ticker carries a “Leonida man” headline that riffs on the Florida Man meme (Push Square, VGC), and Visordown notes that Weazel tags a pack of dirt-bike riders “Dirt-Bike Dirt-Bags”. Weazel was a TV channel in GTA IV and GTA V. Rockstar has not said whether it is a channel you can sit and watch in GTA 6 or only appears as news footage in trailers.

The last mission in An Extended Look is set at the opening of Megamundo’s first American headquarters in Vice City, where Jason and Lucia are hired to guard a mogul named Andrés (Game Informer). PC Gamer and SVG spell his full name Andrés de León (GamesRadar+ writes Andres de Leon) and describe him as a Megamundo media executive. Game Informer calls Megamundo a Spanish-language media company and says it is likely the game’s version of Telemundo, the Miami-based network; SVG goes further and calls it one of the game’s satirical TV channels. Insider Gaming spells it Mega Mundo. Rockstar has not described Megamundo, and no outlet reports seeing any of its programmes on a TV in the game.

In An Extended Look, Jason picks a beer from the fridge while Lucia gets ready, then sits down in front of the TV, where adverts fill the screen (Push Square; TheGamer also describes the beer and the TV). PC Gamer says Jason switches the TV on while Lucia changes and a couple of parody ads play, and Game Informer describes the living-room TV showing comic commercials, including an Arby’s parody. Kotaku and GamesRadar+ both list watching TV among the game’s downtime activities, and Famitsu’s interviewer, who watched gameplay with Rob Nelson at Rockstar North in Edinburgh, remarked on the sound of the TV in Jason and Lucia’s home. Rockstar has not said how many channels there are or how you switch between them.

A TV ad filmed inside Red Dead Redemption 2

Kotaku and Notebookcheck report that a commercial on the TV in An Extended Look (Notebookcheck puts it at about 7:47) uses scenery from Red Dead Redemption 2, after Reddit users found the matching spot in the 2018 game. Kotaku says the ad is the Chacey’s sandwich spot and that Rockstar has used footage from its older games in TV shows and ads since GTA IV. Rockstar has not commented.

Rockstar’s own pages still carry a GTA IV “CNT Promo - I’m Rich” and Weazel News special reports from the Episodes from Liberty City expansions. Houser left Rockstar in 2020 and, with Lazlow, now runs the Absurdaverse, a comedy universe of animated shows and a planned game, at his own company, Absurd Ventures, which has no announced link to GTA 6.
