Sony revealed two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers, one black and one white, during its State of Play broadcast on September 3, 2026. A PlayStation Blog post the same day set the price at $84.99, £74.99 or €84.99. Both launch from November 19, the day the game comes out, though Sony notes that dates and availability can differ by region.

Each pad has a colour-shifting finish, palm-tree details moulded into the shell and GTA VI branding, and both are sold in limited quantities. Sony said pre-orders would open on September 10 at 10am local time. The white model is offered through direct.playstation.com and retailers. The black one is sold only through direct.playstation.com in the countries where that store operates, and through select retailers elsewhere.

The post also says GTA VI uses the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which Sony says "instantly respond to the action". That is not new. Sony made the same point in a June 24 blog post, the day before PlayStation Store pre-orders for the game opened, and the game’s PlayStation Store listing marks vibration and trigger effects as supported.

Neither Sony post explains what the haptics or triggers do in specific moments, such as firing a gun or driving a car. Claims about how a particular weapon or vehicle feels on the pad should be treated as unconfirmed until Sony or Rockstar says more, or the game is out.

The blog post presents the controllers on their own and does not mention a copy of the game. Video Games Chronicle also reported the reveal on September 3.
