GTA 6 에디션: Standard vs Ultimate

What the Ultimate Edition adds

Rockstar and both console stores list the same 16 Ultimate-only extras: 11 items and activities plus five shops that Rockstar says are “only open for business with the Ultimate Edition”. Rockstar says the bonuses are spread through the story, “with new items uncovered behind each chapter”, so not everything is available from the start; the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, for example, is held back for later-stage action. Rockstar has not given a chapter-by-chapter unlock list. The gang raid is called “PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store” on Rockstar’s editions page and “PTT Youngin$ Compound” in the store listings.

• ’95 Grotti Cheetah sports car with a retro-futuristic livery
• Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, his-and-hers versions with palm-tree grips, engraving and a scope
• Engraved personal versions of Jason’s Girardi ES9 and Lucia’s Klose K17 pistols
• Vice City Style outfits, hairstyles and tattoos for both characters
• Jason’s safehouse vehicles: a Dinka Enduro motorcycle in Army fatigue colours and a Crest Kayak
• Ganado Retro Build mods for Jason’s Vapid Ganado pickup
• Shitzu Squalo boat in pink-and-blue gradient, docked at Washington Beach, with an explosives weapons crate
• ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy plus the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay (weapon locker and stolen-goods stash)
• Goodtime Gear clothing and accessories themed on the TV character Macca the Gator
• PTT Youngin$ compound raid in Southside Vice City
• Classic Car Collection, a commission from the collector and fixer Wyman to find and restore classic and project cars
• Rideout Customs mod shop (Ultimate only)
• Sara’s Unisex Salon (Ultimate only)
• Stock 305 streetwear store in Stockyard (Ultimate only)
• Electric Fang Tattoo in Stockyard, with 50+ tattoos designed by the art collective FAILE (Ultimate only)
• One-Eyed Willie’s off-road and hand-painted mod shop in Lake Leonida (Ultimate only)

Upgrading from Standard to Ultimate

가격:

Xbox: $20.00 / £20.00 / €20.00 / AU$30.00; PlayStation: no price shown yet

The Ultimate extras are also sold on their own as the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade, which needs the base game; the Xbox listing notes the game is sold separately. On Xbox it is already up for pre-order at $20.00, £20.00, €20.00 and AU$30.00, so Standard plus the upgrade costs the same as the Ultimate Edition at current prices. PlayStation Store lists the upgrade but, as of October 20, 2026, marks it “Not available for purchase” with no price, while the Rockstar Store tells owners they can upgrade on PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store “at any time”. Sony’s terms say the upgrade does not qualify for the free GTA+ month.

Most pre-orders are for the Ultimate Edition

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told CNBC in August that pre-orders were “skewing more to the premium edition”, as GamesRadar+ and TechRadar report. Market-data firm Sensor Tower estimated in mid-August that 89% of pre-orders were for the Ultimate Edition (90% on Xbox, 88.5% on PlayStation), as GamesRadar+ and TechRadar report via GamesIndustry.biz. Sensor Tower expects that share to fall as more casual buyers order closer to launch, and Take-Two has not published its own split.

Vintage Vice City Pack (pre-order bonus)

가격:

Free with any purchase before November 20, 2026

Take-Two says every pre-order and every purchase made before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, whichever edition and whether digital or boxed. It contains a two-tone ’55 Vapid Stanier with the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, period outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a tropical weapon pattern. PlayStation Store and Xbox Store phrase the same deadline as buying by the end of November 19, launch day itself. Rockstar has not said whether the pack will be sold or offered again after the deadline.

• ’55 Vapid Stanier, a two-tone 1950s sedan
• Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach, with a weapon locker and a secure stash for stolen goods to fence
• Jason: pastel linen suit and a period haircut
• Lucia: red sequin mini dress and curls
• Tropical weapon pattern for most guns, based on Tommy Vercetti’s palm-tree shirt

Free month of GTA+ (digital bonus)

가격:

Free for one month; on PlayStation it then renews at the regular monthly price unless cancelled

Digital copies of either edition bought on PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store by November 19, 2026 come with one month of GTA+, Rockstar’s subscription with GTA Online perks such as a monthly GTA$500,000 deposit and access to the GTA+ Games Library. Boxed copies do not get it: the Rockstar Store lists it as a digital-store bonus, and GamesRadar+ says the same. It is limited to one per account; on PlayStation it must be claimed by March 31, 2027, existing subscribers get the month added on, and it then renews at the regular monthly price unless cancelled. On Xbox it must be redeemed within 180 days of placing the pre-order, and child accounts restricted from age-rated content cannot redeem it. Sony’s claim page excludes PlayStation stores in Bahrain, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Russia (its game page also lists Taiwan).

Physical copies: a download code in a box

가격:

$79.99 / £69.99 (Standard Edition only)

The only boxed version is the Standard Edition, and the box holds a download code, not a disc. The Rockstar Store says plainly that a disc will not be included and that you need an internet connection and a platform account to download the game. Take-Two says boxed copies are available from November 12, 2026 so buyers can pre-load. The Rockstar Store sells the box itself and ships to 20 countries in North America and Europe, and its PlayStation codes only work on accounts from the matching region (US/Canada, UK, or its listed European countries).

A disc version later?

No disc edition of GTA 6 has been announced as of October 20, 2026. In June 2026 Polish site PPE.pl, citing its insider Graczdari, claimed disc copies would follow in December; VGC reported the claim, and Rockstar and Take-Two have not confirmed it. Back in February, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told Variety that holding back a physical version until after launch was “not the plan”, months before the code-in-box was announced. In August he said discs “don’t really make sense” for big games, while allowing that physical versions may still appear “now and then”.

Some retailers will not sell the code-in-box

Kotaku and TechRadar report that Canadian chain Video Games Plus (VGP) and US store Loot Box Gaming said they would not sell GTA 6 because the boxed version has no disc. VGP said it would stock a version with a disc if Rockstar ever releases one. GamesRadar+ lists the boxed Standard Edition at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop in the US and Amazon, Argos, Currys and ShopTo in the UK.

Where you can buy GTA 6

Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on June 25, 2026. Take-Two lists PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and retailers worldwide. The Rockstar Store sells the boxed Standard Edition directly and links digital buyers to PlayStation Store or Xbox Store. The Ultimate Edition is only on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.

Pre-load from November 12

Digital pre-orders can start downloading on November 12, 2026, a week before the November 19 launch; PlayStation Store lists this as a “7-Day Pre-load”. Boxed copies are available from November 12 so their codes can be used to pre-load, but delivery dates vary: GamesRadar+ found some retailers promising November 12 delivery and others November 19, and the Rockstar Store says physical orders placed after launch ship in about 1–7 days. On PS5, automatic download needs Automatic Login and Auto Sign-In switched on, according to the store listing.

What time GTA 6 unlocks

Rockstar has not published unlock times. Only GamesRadar+ reports a staggered, region-by-region launch, based on PlayStation Store timestamps gathered by fan site GTA Vice, starting in New Zealand and ending in Mexico. Store data we checked on October 20 fits a midnight local-time start: PlayStation Store lists 00:00 UTC on November 19 for the UK, 23:00 UTC on November 18 for Germany and France, 05:00 UTC on November 19 for the US (midnight Eastern) and 13:00 UTC on November 18 for Australia (midnight in Sydney), and Microsoft Store data shows the same US and Australian times.

Download and install size

Neither Rockstar nor the console stores have published GTA 6’s download or install size as of October 20, 2026; the PlayStation and Xbox listings checked that day show no size. GamesRadar+ estimates at least 120–130GB, judging from GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Starfield, but that is an estimate. A figure of about 200GB came from a 2024 social media post linking to a since-deleted story, and GamesRadar+ says to treat it with caution.

Digital-only notes: accounts and regions

Every copy, including the boxed one, is redeemed as a digital licence on your PlayStation or Xbox account, so, as Kotaku points out, there is no disc to sell back to a store. Rockstar’s store says its PlayStation codes are locked to the region they ship to, and GamesRadar+ advises against buying from other countries’ stores because PlayStation codes only work in their own region; it says Xbox codes are not affected. The PlayStation listings tag the game as PS5 Pro Enhanced, and Sony says it will not be playable on PS4.

A PC version (not announced)

Rockstar has not announced GTA 6 for PC, so there are no PC editions or prices. VGC and PC Gamer report a GamesBeat claim, citing four anonymous industry sources, that a PC version is planned for the first three months of 2027. Rockstar has not commented, and PC Gamer says to take the report with a grain of salt. Separately, after The Verge reported an Xbox streaming deal, Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball said the game will not stream exclusively or to PC, according to PC Gamer.

Sony PS5 + GTA 6 bundle

As of October 20, 2026, Sony has not announced a PS5 console bundle with GTA 6. Sony’s PlayStation Blog posts tagged GTA VI cover the June pre-order news, a release roundup and the two limited-edition controllers, and Japan’s Midnight Black PS5, which launches the same day, does not include the game. GamesRadar+ wrote on October 13 that a Western bundle or special console plates may still come, but that is the outlet’s expectation, not an announcement.

GTA VI limited-edition DualSense controllers

가격:

$84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480

Sony’s only GTA VI-branded hardware so far is a pair of limited-edition DualSense controllers, one black and one white, with a colour-shifting finish, moulded palm-tree details and GTA VI branding. They launch from November 19, 2026, though Sony says dates may vary by country, and pre-orders opened on September 10. The white version is sold through direct.playstation.com and retailers; the black one is exclusive to direct.playstation.com where that store operates, and sold through retailers elsewhere. These are controllers only; Sony has not said any game is included.

Japan’s Midnight Black PS5 (not a GTA 6 bundle)

가격:

¥55,000 (disc drive ¥11,980)

Sony’s Japanese PlayStation Blog announced the PS5 Digital Edition Midnight Black, a Japan-only model, at ¥55,000 including tax, launching on November 19, the same day as GTA 6. It works only with accounts set to Japanese language and the Japan region, and its listed contents are the console, a DualSense controller, cables and Astro’s Playroom, with no copy of GTA 6. Pre-orders at Japanese retailers open on October 20, alongside a matching Midnight Black disc drive at ¥11,980. GamesRadar+ and Dexerto also reported the announcement.

UK retailer bundles (EE)

가격:

£808 (PS5 Pro) and £588 (PS5 Slim) in June; £843 and £603 by August 24

Only GamesRadar+ reports this: UK retailer EE put together its own bundles of a console plus a Standard Edition copy, a PS5 Pro for £808 and a PS5 Slim Disc Edition for £588. These were EE’s own deals, not Sony products. By its August 24 update, GamesRadar+ listed them at £843 and £603, with smaller savings.

Xbox Series X|S + GTA 6 bundle

As of October 20, 2026, Microsoft has not announced an Xbox console bundle or GTA-themed Xbox hardware. Xbox Wire’s GTA VI tag holds only a Trailer 2 post and a pre-order post, and the Xbox Store sells only the Standard Edition, the Ultimate Edition and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade.

Collector’s box (game not included)

가격:

$399.99 (GamesRadar+ reports £349.99 in the UK)

There is no collector’s edition of the game. The closest thing is Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a $399.99 merchandise box on the Rockstar Store, and the listing states that the game is sold separately. It includes a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a crossbody bag, a New Era cap, pins, stickers, a shot glass, a swizzle spoon and a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida. It ships from November 19, 2026, is limited to one per person and is made in limited quantities; on October 20 it was still listed for pre-order.

GTA VI: The Album (soundtrack on CD and vinyl)

가격:

$19.98 CD / $49.98 vinyl / $124.98 limited vinyl (sold out)

Rockstar’s music page lists Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks, as “Coming November 19” and links to pre-orders on vinyl or CD. The official album store linked from that page prices the CD at $19.98 and the vinyl at $49.98, while its $124.98 limited-edition vinyl showed as sold out on October 20, 2026. GamesRadar+ reports retailer-exclusive vinyl colours at Best Buy and Blood Records. It is music only and does not include the game.
