GTA 6 compared
GTA 6 next to the games that came before it: what is the same, what has changed, and what Rockstar has not shown yet.
GTA 6 Vice City vs the original Vice City (2002)
Same name and Miami roots, different city. The 2002 game put Tommy Vercetti in a 1986 Vice City that was the whole map; GTA 6 is present-day, stars Jason and Lucia, and makes Vice City one region of Leonida.
GTA 6 vs GTA San Andreas: map, era and body stats
Both games cover a whole fictional state. San Andreas (2004) is based on 1992 California and Nevada and has three cities; GTA 6’s Leonida is a present-day take on Florida built around Vice City, and Rockstar calls it its biggest map yet.
GTA 6 vs GTA 4: physics, story, tone and map
GTA 6 is built more like GTA 5, with switchable leads and a far bigger map, but borrows some of GTA IV’s feel: Rockstar’s Rob Nelson says the driving keeps some of GTA 4’s weight, and IGN reports six-star wanted levels are back.
